On the Tec de Monterrey and insecurity in Mexico.

Unlike what I usually do on Sundays, I got up early today. Early on Sunday for me at least, around 09:00. The reason, to attend the event "Report and Proposals to Improve Security in Mexico," which would take place at 10:00 at the stadium Technology.
The event followed a march that ran around the campus, to finish inside the stadium. Since I woke hear the noise of the helicopters that were circulating in the tech area (I live less than 50 meters away from the stadium). Before leaving my house turned on the television and saw the news coverage of the event, the march had already completed and several thousands of people waited in the stadium field that would start the event.
point I came to the stadium, I was given a white shirt with the slogan "Movement x change," I came, I placed myself in a place on the court and the event started minutes later. The event could hardly be less emotional. First listen to Mrs. Rosa Elvia Alonso Mercado, the mother of Jorge Mercado, one of the students killed in the events of 19 March.
was followed by three students from different campuses of Tec, Jessica campus Monterrey, Campus Santa Fe Gerardo and Sergio Juarez campus. Then, on behalf of the community ex-a-tec, took Mr. Cosme Furlong, a graduate degree in Communication Sciences. Then, Dr. Bernardo Gonzalez Arechiga, director of the Graduate School of Public Administration and Public Policy, presented the document "Report and proposals for improving security in Mexico."
delivery was made formal proposals Sostman Dr. Rafael Rangel, chancellor of the technological system, who gave the closing speech at the event. It stressed the responsibility we all have in the current situation in the country and how our involvement is necessary if we want a change. Dr. Rangel has committed to submitting proposals to federal authorities gathered and to follow up its implementation. "Viva Mexico, we on Security!" was the phrase that closed the event.
I personally do not think the uncertainty is resolved with marches and speeches, but I hope that the efforts of students, teachers and other members of the community technology who drafted and circulated their proposals bear fruit. I rely on the commitment of Dr. Rangel and I am sure will make sure the community voice is heard presiding.
However, there is something that discourages me, a lot. Just a few hours held the event, read on several internet portals reseƱay notes give feedback as I find that I reproduce below:
"Values \u200b\u200bare the ones who were lost, including those we had them we understand that if you are not corrupt, you're nobody. The CHAVES STRAWBERRIES not care about the society they live in another world, if you have values, the abusive fuck you, so is it is better to be like the rulers, legislators and entrepreneurs: corrupt, cynical, power broker, tax evasoresd "THE DONKEY WAS NOT Arisco, made it"
"NICE PEOPLE, NEVER WORRY FOR PEOPLE, OR THE MIDDLE CLASS, LESS FOR POOR. ROPABLANCA TO HAVE NEW LOOK PA HAVE PURCHASED IN THE PHOTO, BUT NEVER MIX WITH THE MOB LOW CLASS. A THEY (AS THE SONG OF MICHAEL JACSON) do not care. "
" I am NOT part of the problem.'re PANdejo, I do not embarrass your ideas of "mexico winner" and "we are all Mexico." culprits have name and surname: Felipe Calderon and Garcia Luna are two very good examples. Screw you, duck president. "
" These fucking assholes monterreyenos most votes for the PAN and now they want to solve marches swept everything .. inept ball .. UNAM yesterday were the joints, screwed, etc. .. pirrurris now also are thugs with empty phrases JAJAJAJAJA "
" NOW IS THAT WE ARE ALL GUILTY THIS DESIGN CRAWLER WHO HOLD YOUR JOB SEARCH A MESSAGE SAYING TO CHING THE PEOPLE THAT'S NOT PAY THEM TO SPURIOUS AND GAVINTE TO RESOLVE THEIR PROBLEMS ENTONSES RECTOR TO BE HASE P. RESIGN AS WITH PAN members CALDERON AND NOT CLEAN HANDS WITH THE PEOPLE "
What is behind these comments? I see a divided people, committed politicize everything and evade responsibility. The same people that once divided said he was happy because the drug is affecting "the pirrurris" or "higher circles of society", as I read on several occasions. A nation that believes in easy solutions to problems, like the drug problem would be solved by changing the president or legalizing drugs.
I am part of ITESM community twelve years ago when I started my studies in school. After I made my professional studies, and some years after graduation, I began graduate studies continue today. It seems silly to label all the members of this community of "pirrurris not care about the people or society, living in another world."
I think of equal or more serious than the uncertainty facing the country is just such a division among its inhabitants. And I think that without attacking the problem, hardly able to solve others.
