has opened the call by Orange Foundation and the Pilates Foundation to participate in the project Pilates and Autism, to be held in Barcelona and aims to teach children the practice of Pilates and allows them to exercise, socialize with others and gain greater control and balance your body. Under the original protocol of Pilates exercises that are done to suit the needs and abilities of each participant as already shown in two previous sessions in Madrid. In addition, this project offers a new leisure activity for children with autism.
The program offers a personalized through the presence of monitors Pilates and volunteers. The course is free and also family members accompanying children (usually parents) can enjoy some Pilates classes while their children participate in the course, to learn more about this method.
The program runs from February to May / June 2011 (a total of 16 sessions) in classes taught on Fridays from 18-19 am in the Eixample Pilates Pavilion on Calle Mallorca 130 between between Urgell and Villaroel (Metro Urgell and Hospital Clinic).

We have very limited places, considering that the group consists of six children. Therefore, it is advisable in case of interest the answer to this request as soon as possible to participate in the pre-selection of participants. The registration period will be open until February 18, 2011.
